RSP Chair Lamichhane opposes time limit on corruption prosecutions

KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), strongly opposed the five-year statute of limitations on corruption cases during a speech at the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting on Thursday.

Lamichhane stated that he has received numerous calls from young people advocating against this statute of limitations, asserting that such a provision is unacceptable.

He emphasized that his party firmly opposes the introduction of any statute of limitations on corruption cases.

Additionally, Lamichhane voiced his concern over the arrest of Dalit activist Khagendra Sunuwar, who has been advocating for inclusion and equality in government and political appointments.
