NC Central Committee taking place from tomorrow

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a meeting of its Central Working Committee from tomorrow.

NC leader Jiwan Pariyar stated that the agenda would include discussions on political, organizational, and contemporary proposals.

These proposals, submitted by Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka, General Secretary Gagan Thapa, and General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma, would be discussed and endorsed.

The meeting is also expected to discuss strengthening the party organization and evaluating the government’s operations.

Pariyar said that Thapa’s proposal, which suggests avoiding alliances in upcoming elections, will be among those discussed.

Sharma’s proposal includes a system for term limits on various political positions, while Khadka’s comments on the Maoists’ armed struggle have sparked controversy.

The Central Working Committee is expected to finalize these decisions, incorporating feedback and suggestions from the earlier discussions.
