Two laborers missing after flood in Bhojpur



BHOJPUR: A flood caused by the Irkhuwa River has swept away two laborers working at the Irkhuwa Hydro project in Bhojpur’s Silpa Silicho Rural Municipality.

According to Bhojpur Police Office, the two workers were reported missing after the flood, which occurred around 1 a.m.

Bhojpur Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Yuvraj Timsina stated that the laborers, employed in hydro construction, were lost in the flood.

The missing individuals have been identified as Shyam Kumar Tharu, 26, from Bardiya, and Ramesh Tharu, 30, also from the same district.

Meanwhile, 26-year-old Ram Kisan Tharu was rescued from the floodwaters.

The police reported that he sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment at the health post in Kulu. His condition is stable.
