Transport Management Office collects Rs 653 million in revenue

KAILALI: The Dhangadhi Office of Transport Management has collected Rs 653.1 million in revenue in the fiscal year 2080/81 BS.

The Office had collected Rs 639.4 million in the previous fiscal year. Acting Chief of the Office, Narendra Shah, said that the highest amount of revenue came from the vehicle tax.

The Office received almost Rs 498 million from the vehicle tax while the least amount in revenue was obtained from the administrative service fees.

Likewise, Rs 142.7 million was collected from driving licenses and vehicle registration fees, and Rs 11.7 million from route permits and pollution tests, the Office said.

In the last fiscal year, the Office increased the volume of revenue collection by Rs 13.7 million than the previous fiscal year.
