Govt recommends ambassadors for 18 countries; Shankar Sharma to continue as Ambassador to India

KATHMANDU: The Council of Ministers has recommended ambassadors for 18 countries.

In a cabinet meeting held on Monday, the decision was made to appoint the new ambassadors.

Notably, Dr. Shankar Sharma will continue his role as Nepal’s Ambassador to India.

Additionally, former Chief Secretary Lokdarshan Regmi and former Secretary Chandra Ghimire have been recommended for ambassadorial positions.

The government has recommended the name of Dr. Netra Prasad Timsina as the Ambassador to Malaysia.

It should be noted that during Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s tenure as Prime Minister, a decision was made to recall the ambassadors appointed from the quotas of the Maoist Center and the Unified Socialist in China, Russia, and Australia.
