Olympic Games: Athlete Dubana Lama exits in swimming event

KATHMANDU: Swimmer Dubana Lama has been eliminated from the ongoing Olympic Games in Paris after finishing last in the initial round of the 200-meter freestyle event.

Lama completed the race in 2 minutes and 20.47 seconds, competing against six other swimmers.

With this result, three Nepali athletes have concluded their participation in the Olympics.

Earlier, table tennis player Syantu Shrestha and shooting player Shushmita Shrestha were also eliminated in the first round.

Dubana Lama’s participation in the Paris Olympics was secured through a wildcard entry.
