Women’s Asia Cup: India and Sri Lanka to clash for title today



KATHMANDU: India and Sri Lanka are set to compete in the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Cricket final today.

In the second semi-final, hosts Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by 3 wickets to secure their spot in the final against India.

The match will start at 3:15 PM today at the Dambulla ground.

India has reached the final of the Women’s Asia Cup for the ninth time.

They advanced to the final after defeating Bangladesh by 10 wickets in the first semi-final.

Sri Lanka, having overcome Pakistan by 3 wickets in a competitive second semi-final, has ensured their clash with India in the final.

Of the eight teams divided into two groups, Group ‘A’ team India and Group ‘B’ team Sri Lanka will face off in the final.

Sri Lanka, playing on home soil, will aim to capitalize on their home advantage to lift the title, while India plans to continue their impressive form.

The final, featuring two undefeated teams, is expected to be an exciting contest.

Nepal, which participated in the competition, was eliminated in the group stage.

Nepal won 6 wickets in three matches against the UAE but lost to Pakistan by 9 wickets and was defeated by India by 82 runs in the group stage.
