Govt reclaims Bansbari land previously occupied by Chandbagh Residency

KATHMANDU: The land previously seized by Chandbagh Residency Pvt Ltd, formerly known as Champion Footwear Pvt Ltd, has now been returned to the Government of Nepal.

According to the latest update from the Land Registry Office in Dillibazar, the ownership of Plot Number 58, measuring 487 square meters, has been transferred to the Nepalese government.

The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police had conducted a thorough investigation into the illegal occupation of this government land.

Subsequently, it instructed the Land Revenue Office (Malpot Office) to transfer ownership back to the government.

Following legal procedures, Sanjay Thakur, Chairman of Chandbagh Residency Pvt Ltd, along with other involved parties, were notified by the Land Reforms and Land Revenue Office in Dillibazar to appear within 21 days.
