Volleyball: Kirgizstan defeats Nepal in semifinal



KATHMANDU: Nepal has been defeated by Kirgizstan in the semifinal of the Kava U-20 Women Volleyball Championship.

Nepal lost to Kirgizstan with 3-0 straight set in the match held in Male, the capital city of the Maldives, last night.

In the first set, Nepal witnessed 14-25, in second, 22-25 and in third 13-25 points. Nepal and Kirgizstan had entered the seminal of the championship after a league round.

In the league round as well, Nepal had lost to Kirgizstan with 3-0 straight set. With this, Nepal will play with the Maldives in a bid of third position on Tuesday itself.

Similarly, Sri Lanka and Kirgizstan will be playing the final match. In the first semifinal, Sri Lanka had secured victory over Maldives with 3-0 straight set.
