Nepali passport team arriving in Portugal to collect applications for e-passport

LISBON: A joint squad from the Department of Passport, Kathmandu, and the Nepali Embassy in France is arriving here for the convenience of those Nepali who are in trouble due to passport-related issues.

The team is scheduled to collect e-passport applications through a mobile camp in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal.

According to the Nepali Embassy in Paris, the service to be coordinated and facilitated by the Honorary Consulate of Nepal in Lisbon, Portugal will be available on August 2-11.

Nepal’s Ambassador for France, Sudhir Bhattarai, said Department’s Director Moti Bahadur Shrees will lead the three-member team.

The services will be for those expired passports, passports with less than one year validity, lost ones, and new passports for those born in Portugal, it is said.
