Nepal holds special place in India’s ‘Neighbours First’ Policy: PM Modi



KATHMANDU: India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his congratulations to newly-appointed Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

In a message conveyed today, PM Modi expressed confidence in enhanced coordination and collaboration between the two nations.

Highlighting the enduring cultural ties and the open border shared by both countries, PM Modi emphasized the significant strides made in connectivity, energy, and other sectors recently.

PM Modi underscored Nepal’s special status and priority under India’s ‘neighbours first’ policy.

He reiterated India’s commitment to being a steadfast partner in Nepal’s economic development and prosperity, urging deeper partnership and collaboration for mutual benefit.

“Our bilateral partnership will strengthen further as we work closely to fulfill the aspirations of our peoples,” PM Modi affirmed, expressing optimism for the future under the leadership of Prime Minister Oli.

The Indian Prime Minister expressed confidence that the friendship and collaboration between the two nations will continue to thrive and progress positively.
