DHORPATAN: The Kaligandaki Corridor remains blocked for traffic for the past three days.

The corridor has been blocked at difference places due to landslides triggered by monsoon rain.

District Police Office Baglung Police Inspector Basant Bhujel said that although machines and workers have been deployed for clearing the road continuous rainfall has hampered the effort.

“Landslides occur as soon as it rains and the retaining wall swept away by landslides remains to be built,” he said.

As a result, travelers have suffered while farmers have not been able to bring their produce including to the market.

Harihar Sharma, deputy mayor of Jaimini Municipality, said that although 400 liters of milk is brought to Baglung market only from Jaimini area of Baglung it has to now come through Kushma, Parbat due to the road impasse.
