Government sets minimum support price for paddy



KATHMANDU: The government has established the minimum support price for paddy for the fiscal year 2081/82 BS.

During a cabinet meeting held on Thursday, the minimum support price was set at Rs 3,410.51 per quintal for ‘mota dhan’ and Rs 3,580.62 per quintal for ‘madhyam dhan’.

The minimum support price is the lowest legal price that can be paid for farmers’ harvests.
