UML Chair Oli urges PM Dahal to step down

KATHMANDU: KP Sharma Oli, Chairman of CPN-UML, held a meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at Baluwatar this morning.

Oli met with PM Dahal to convey that the Nepali Congress, the largest party in parliament, and CPN-UML, the second largest, have reached an agreement to form a new government.

During the meeting, Chairman Oli urged PM Dahal to resign from his position and facilitate the formation of a new government.

According to the agreement, the UML will lead the government for the first one and a half years before transferring power to the Nepali Congress.

In the initial phase, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli will serve as Prime Minister, with the UML taking charge of nine ministries, including the Finance Ministry.

Meanwhile, the Nepali Congress will oversee 10 ministries, including the Home Ministry.
