Landslide obstructs Khurkot-Ghurmi road section

SINDHULI: The Khurkot-Ghurmi road section under the Sindhuli-Midhill Highway has been blocked since this morning due to landslides.

Landslides have obstructed roads in Golanjor Rural Municipality-6 near Haibarbensi, Akkarebhir, Golanjor, and Fikkal Rural Municipality-2 Sumnambesi.

According to Chief Superintendent of Police Govindaraj Kafle of the District Police Office, dozens of vehicles and passengers are stranded due to the road obstruction from Khurkot to the east.

Meanwhile, in Golanjor-1 Kudule, a truck (Pra 2-03-001B 7144) has been buried by a landslide.

Representatives of the local government and security personnel have reached the site where the road is blocked.

Efforts to clear the blocked road are ongoing.
