President Paudel returning home from Germany today



KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel is returning home today, completing his week-long visit to Switzerland and Germany.

Ambassador of Nepal to Germany Ramkaji Khadka and high-ranking officials of the German government bid farewell to President Paudel at the Berlin Brandenburg International Airport on Tuesday.

Earlier on Tuesday, President Paudel visited East Berlin. During his visit to the historic site, he inspected the Nepali Embassy in Berlin.

The staff at the Nepali diplomatic mission highlighted the need to take initiatives to attract German investment to Nepal.

President Paudel reached Germany on June 15 at the invitation of the President of Germany.

The Head of State met his German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, in Berlin last Monday. This is the first official visit by a Head of State from Nepal to Germany since 1986.
