Bakra Eid celebrated for promoting collaboration culture: PM



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ highlighted the significance of Bakra Eid (Eid Al-Adha) in fostering Nepal’s religious diversity and promoting a culture of tolerance and collaboration.

In a message of best wishes today on the occasion of Bakra Eid, the major festival for the Islamic community, Prime Minister Dahal stated that festivals like Bakra Eid are not limited to any particular community but have become national festivals celebrated by the entire Nepali community.

He emphasized that Nepal’s multiethnic, multilingual, and multicultural character is reflected in these celebrations.

The Prime Minister noted that each festival has its own historical and special significance, having developed through the combined processes of experience, education, and knowledge gained by humanity over time.

He expressed his belief that Bakra Eid, celebrated as a festival of mutual goodwill, would contribute to promoting social unity and harmony among all Nepalis and inspire the national campaign to build a united and prosperous Nepal.

Prime Minister Dahal hoped that this festival would help in building a just and prosperous society by maintaining mutual unity, tolerance, and harmony among all Nepalis.

He wished for happiness, peace, and prosperity for all Nepali Muslim sisters and brothers at home and abroad.
