Bangladesh sets target of 107 runs for Nepal



KATHMANDU: In the ongoing ICC T-20 cricket match, Bangladesh set a target of 107 runs against Nepal.

Bangladesh struggled and was bowled out for 106 runs in 19.3 overs.

Nepal’s bowlers, including Sompal Kami, Dipendra Singh Airee, Sandeep Lamichhane, and Rohit Kumar Paudel, showcased an impressive performance, each grabbing two wickets to restrict Bangladesh to a low total.

Additionally, two Bangladeshi batsmen were run out during the innings.

Leading the scoreboard for Bangladesh was Shakib Al Hasan with the highest score of 17 runs.

Mohammadullah contributed 13 runs off 13 balls before being run out, including two boundaries. Rishad Hossain scored 13 runs off 7 balls, hitting 1 four and 1 six.

For Bangladesh, Ali scored 12 runs off 26 balls, Taskin Ahmed also scored 12 runs, while opener Litton Das contributed 10 runs.

In a historic moment, Sandeep Lamichhane reached 100 wickets milestone in T20 Internationals during the match. Four Nepali bowlers claimed two wickets each.

Sandeep Lamichhane bowled 4 overs, conceding only 17 runs and taking two crucial wickets.

Captain Rohit Paudel bowled 4 overs, securing two wickets for 20 runs. Dipendra Singh Airey took two wickets for 22 runs in 3.2 overs.

Sompal Kami set the tone for Nepal by taking a wicket in the very first ball. He finished with figures of 2 wickets for 10 runs in 3 overs, boosting Nepal’s confidence early in the game.
