Suspended Judge Giri gets seven-year jail sentence in rape case



KATHMANDU: Suspended Judge Bhuvan Giri has been sentenced to seven years in prison in a rape case filed by his ex-wife.

A single bench of Judge Durga Bahadur Bhusal of the Kathmandu District Court delivered the sentence on Monday.

Additionally, the court has imposed a fine of Rs 300,000 as compensation for the victim.
