‘Deities of Nepal II’: Showcasing diverse array of artworks

KATHMANDU: The ‘Deities of Nepal II’ exhibition, a collaborative effort between the Nepal Art Council and the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, concluded today after a successful run from May 21 to June 10.

Showcasing a diverse array of artworks, including sculptures, paintings, and art installations, the event delighted visitors with around 220 pieces crafted by 162 talented artists.

More than just an art display, the exhibition served as a vibrant celebration of Nepal’s living, intangible culture, spotlighting the revered deities and shared beliefs that form the backbone of Nepali heritage.

With its rich tapestry of artistic expressions, the ‘Deities of Nepal II’ sought to immerse attendees in the country’s cultural mosaic while fostering a deeper appreciation for its artistic legacy.

As the curtains draw to a close on this remarkable showcase, it leaves behind a lingering sense of reverence for Nepal’s spiritual and artistic heritage, inviting visitors to carry the essence of its cultural richness with them beyond the gallery walls.
