UML victim of personality cult, Maoist Center not mature enough for socialist revolution: Ghanashyam Bhusal

KATHMANDU: Ghanashyam Bhusal, General Secretary of the CPN-Unified Socialist, has stated that the CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Center are incapable of bringing socialism to Nepal.

Speaking at an interaction on the ‘Socialist Revolution in Nepal’ on Sunday in Kathmandu, Bhusal claimed that the UML was not established to lead a socialist revolution.

“UML will not lead this revolution because it is a party created to avoid it. It is, in a way, focused on flattery and personality worship. In the coming days, it will continue to make great efforts towards personality cult,” he said, adding, “There will be efforts against this, and it will continue around this issue.”

Similarly, Bhusal remarked that the Maoist Center is not mature enough to lead a socialist revolution and will take a long time to internalize this concept.

“It will take the Maoists a long time to internalize this. They are not mature enough in terms of ideology,” he said, adding, “The Maoists are not ready. It will take them a lot of time. Our small party, the CPN (Unified Socialist), bears a significant and serious responsibility.”
