Chasing a target of 138 runs, Ireland managed to score only 125 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Mark Adair was the top scorer for Ireland, making 34 runs off 24 balls, including 3 fours and 1 six.
George Dockrell added 30 runs off 23 balls.
For Canada, Jeremy Gordon and Dillon Heyliger took 2 wickets each, while Junaid Siddiqui and Saad Bin Zafar claimed 1 wicket each.
Earlier, batting first, Canada posted 137 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs.
Nicholas Kirton was the top scorer with 49 runs off 35 balls, hitting 3 fours and 2 sixes.
Shreyas Movva contributed 37 runs off 36 balls, while Pragat Singh and Aaron Johnson added 18 and 14 runs, respectively.
Craig Young and Barry McCarthy were the standout bowlers for Ireland, taking 2 wickets each.
