Partial influence of westerly winds impacting Nepal’s weather



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported a partial influence of local and westerly winds, as well as a low-pressure area extending from Uttar Pradesh to Bangladesh.

According to the Division, there is currently partial to normal cloud cover across the country.

Light to moderate rain with lightning is occurring in some places of Koshi Province and Bagmati Province and one or two places in the rest of the provinces.

This afternoon, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy across the country.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with lightning in a few places in Bagmati, Madhes, Koshi, and Gandaki provinces, and a couple of places in the remaining areas.

There is also a possibility of storms in one or two places in the Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Koshi provinces.

Additionally, light snowfall is expected in one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of the country.

Tonight, it will be partly to mostly cloudy over the hilly areas of the country, including Bagmati, Koshi, and Gandaki provinces.

Light to moderate rain with thundershowers is likely in a few places in Bagmati, Koshi, and Gandaki provinces, and a few places in the rest of the provinces.
