KATHMANDU: The Nepali national cricket team lost to the Netherlands in their first match of the ICC T20 World Cup by six wickets.

Nepal started the World Cup with a 6-wicket loss against the Netherlands in the match on Tuesday night.

The target of 107 runs set by Nepal was chased down by the Dutch team with the loss of 4 wickets and 8 balls to spare.

Nepal had earlier posted a modest target of 107 runs for the Netherlands.

In the league stage match of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Nepal batted first against the Netherlands at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, USA.

Winning the toss, the Dutch team was elected to bowl first.

The toss was delayed following rain.

After a decade-long hiatus, the Nepali national cricket team competed in the T20 World Cup today.

Nepal last made its T20 World Cup debut in Bangladesh in 2014, a moment that turned the entire nation into cricket enthusiasts.
