Vice President extols sacrifice, urges collective responsibility on Republic Day



KATHMANDU: Vice-President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has emphasized this sentiment on the 17th Republic Day, extending warm wishes for happiness, peace, prosperity, and progress to all Nepalis.

In his message commemorating the occasion, Vice-President Yadav paid homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives during the People’s Movement, People’s War, and Madhes movement, expressing heartfelt condolences.

He also honored those who were injured or disappeared during these historic struggles.

Additionally, he congratulated and extended well wishes for Republic Day, highlighting its potential to galvanize collective action in safeguarding the monumental achievements of democracy, republicanism, federalism, inclusivity, national welfare, and the constitution.

Yadav underscored that Nepal’s transition to a federal democratic republic system was only made possible through the extraordinary efforts and sacrifices of its courageous people.

He called for a forward march, urging responsibility at all levels to instill hope among the populace.
