KATHMANDU: The National Assembly (NA) meeting scheduled for 1:15 PM today has been delayed by two hours.

The Federal Parliament Secretariat made this announcement.

According to Dasharath Dhamala, assistant spokesperson for the Secretariat, the session has been rescheduled for 3:15 PM today.

The postponement occurred as the ruling parties and the major opposition Nepali Congress (NC) are currently in a meeting to finalize a mandate for forming a parliamentary committee to probe the alleged misappropriation of cooperative funds.

Prior to this, the lower house session was postponed to 2:00 PM today.
