PM Dahal, Oli, and Lamichhane hold talks at Singha Durbar

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli, and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane engaged in discussions at Singha Durbar to end the parliamentary deadlock.

Oli reached Singha Durbar on Friday morning to engage in dialogue with PM Dahal.

After approximately 20 minutes of conversation between Oli and Dahal, Lamichhane joined the discussion.

Sources indicate that discussions were held among the three leaders.

In should be noted that lawmakers of CPN-UML and Nepali Congress clashed during Thursday’s session.

The House of Representatives meeting, adjourned yesterday, will be held today.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire has called for the meeting to convene at 11 am, though it has yet to commence.

The ruling opposition party is internally deliberating its strategy ahead of the parliamentary session.

Nepali Congress has been obstructing parliamentary proceedings, demanding the establishment of a parliamentary probe committee to investigate allegations of fund misappropriation within the cooperative, implicating Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Lamichhane.

Furthermore, Home Minister Lamichhane has been barred from speaking in Parliament on this matter.
