KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) under the Federal Parliament is taking place today.

Scheduled for 11 am at the Parliament Building in New Baneswor, the session will address several key matters.

Among the highlights, Speaker Devraj Ghimire will commence proceedings by announcing the approval of a bill received from the President’s office and the appointment of ministers and ministers of state.

Additionally, there will be a review of a letter from the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers regarding increased workload.

Furthermore, in accordance with Rule 10 of the House of Representatives Rules, 2079, the Speaker will nominate members to preside over the meeting.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda aims to thank the President for unveiling the government’s policies and programs earlier this week.

Subsequently, the Speaker will extend a vote of thanks.

Lawmaker Amar Bahadur Thapa, chairman of the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee, is slated to present the committee’s report for 2080 on the security printing bill.

Notably, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane will introduce a motion for the consideration of the Political Parties (Second Amendment) Bill, 2080.
