Unified Socialist’s Central Committee meeting to begin today

KATHMANDU: The Central Committee meeting of the Unified Socialist Party is beginning in Kathmandu today.

At the meeting to be held in Balkumari, the party will deliberate on its ideological stance for the upcoming convention, assess the nationwide state of party organization, review grassroots progress, address internal disputes, and analyze the current political landscape.

The party has confirmed that the meeting, spanning until tomorrow (Wednesday), will establish criteria for selecting convention representatives and devise an action plan for organizational expansion and grassroots establishment.

Legislation discussions will focus on initiatives under party leadership, including the elimination of the 70-year age limit, bolstering youth engagement, and streamlining the central committee’s size.

The Unified Socialist Party is gearing up for a general convention scheduled in Kathmandu from June 30 to July 4.
