Select areas in Kathmandu to face power outages starting tomorrow



KATHMANDU: Residents in select areas of Kathmandu will face temporary power disruptions as maintenance work takes place on the electricity line from the Syuchatar substation to the Matatirtha substation starting tomorrow (Saturday).

The maintenance, expected to last almost a week, will necessitate shutting down the electricity supply for crucial upgrades.

The outage schedule in Husantar, Khadka Gaon, and Thankot Feeder will come into force from May 11 to May 13 from 8 am to 2 pm daily.

During this period, the following areas will be affected:

May 15 to May 17: Patichowk, Amarjyoti, Purano Health Post, Krishna Mandir, Nag Mandir, Gautam Gaon, Asantar, Kankali, Pahelo Gumba, Godam Chowk, Mahankal, Sitaram School, Jayanti Gaon, Ramkot, Purigaon, Darshankhola, Dahchok, Bhimdhunga, Khadka Village, Khatri Village, and Chhatre Deurali.

Likewise, there will be power outages in Purano Naikap, Balambu, Chundevi, Khahare, Dahachowk, Dhungedhara, Bright Future, Lamachaur, Baniya Gaon, Kitni Bhanjyang, Pashu Bikash, and Srijan Chowk from May 15 to May 17.

Similarly, areas including Kalanki, Dhunge Adda, Arket Colony, Tinthana, Naikap, Bishnudevi, Boshigaon, Hariyali, Satungal, Naya Naikap, Chundevi, and Pragati Nagar will also face power disruption.
