KATHMANDU: Nepal has recorded the arrival of more than 100,000 foreign tourists in a single month, marking a significant milestone for the tourism sector.
According to the Nepal Tourism Board, a total of 416,069 tourists visited Nepal in the past four months, averaging over 100,000 arrivals per month.
The month-wise breakdown reveals 79,100 tourists in January, 97,426 in February, 128,167 in March, and 111,376 in April.
Among the visitors, the highest number hailed from India, with 110,573 Indian nationals visiting Nepal in the past four months.
Following closely behind were tourists from China, totaling 38,290, and the United States of America (USA), with 36,846 arrivals.
Additionally, Nepal welcomed significant numbers of tourists from the UK, Australia, Bangladesh, France, Germany, Russia, Malaysia, and various other countries.
The surge in tourist arrivals is a testament to Nepal’s growing appeal as a travel destination, reflecting the diverse cultural and natural treasures the country has to offer.
