T20 series: Nepal playing fourth match against West Indies today

KATHMANDU: Nepal is playing its fourth match of the T20 series against West Indies ‘A’ today afternoon.

With the series standing at 2-1 in favor of the West Indies after three intense battles, Nepal shoulders the weight of expectation to triumph in today’s crucial encounter.

Scheduled to commence at 1 pm at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Nepal seeks redemption following a narrow loss in the previous match.

Having secured a thrilling victory in the series opener, Nepal faced setbacks in the subsequent clashes, amplifying the significance of today’s fixture.

In the first match on Saturday, Nepal chased down a challenging target of 205 runs set by West Indies, clinching victory with four wickets in hand.

Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel’s heroic century innings spearheaded the memorable triumph at the home ground.

However, the tide turned in the second encounter as Nepal faltered, succumbing to a 10-run defeat against a resilient West Indies ‘A’ side.

Despite a valiant effort in restricting the opponents, Nepal’s pursuit of a 161-run target fell short, leaving them yearning for redemption.

The third match witnessed another setback for Nepal, as West Indies dominated proceedings, securing a commanding 76-run victory.

Facing a daunting target of 228 runs, Nepal’s batting lineup faltered, succumbing to the opposition’s relentless bowling attack.

As Nepal braces for the fourth showdown, the team is fueled by determination to level the series and keep their hopes alive.

With stakes at their highest, every run and wicket will shape the destiny of this fiercely contested T20 series.
