NEPSE declines by double digits on Monday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index experienced another decline on Monday, following an increase on Sunday.

The stock market dropped by 15.41 points, reaching 1969.02 today.

A total of 5,656,282 shares were traded, valued at Rs 2,058,300,000.

Sunday recorded trading worth Rs 2.26 billion.

All 13 subgroups witnessed a decrease in trading volume alongside the NEPSE index.

The finance subgroup saw the highest decline at 2.10 percent.

Similarly, the production and development banks subgroup also noted significant decreases.

Out of the 320 companies traded, the share value of 186 companies declined, while 49 saw an increase, and 10 remained stable.
