KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has directly confronted the CPN-UML, questioning their failure to uncover the perpetrator behind the untimely demise of their leader, Madan Bhandari.

During an event commemorating the diamond jubilee celebration of the Nepal Communist Party, President Deuba expressed dismay over circulating online video clips that accuse his party of involvement in the mysterious death of Bhandari.

“It is disheartening to witness the UML, which secured Madan Bhandari’s wife Bidya Bhandari’s presidency on two occasions and held the prime ministerial position multiple times, turning a blind eye to the unresolved case of Madan Bhandari’s demise,” lamented the NC President, further stating, “They refrain from initiating a thorough investigation into the matter while simultaneously blaming the NC. Why has the UML not taken the lead in investigating this issue?”

NC President Deuba, alongside Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ was invited as the chief guest to UML’s program to deliver their speeches.
