NEPSE climbs down below 2000 points, declines by double digit again



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a double-digit decline, leading the stock market below two thousand points, on Tuesday.

The stock market fell to 1991.71 points today.

Both sensitive index and the float index, which measure the transactions of ‘A’ class companies, have also seen a decline.

As 5,471,000 shares of 312 companies were traded, business worth around Rs 2.10 billion took place today.

This marked the decline in the trading volume as well.

Monday had seen the trading worth around Rs 2.75 billion.

All subgroups within NEPSE witnessed a decline.

Most significantly, hydropower, microfinance, and others groups have seen a decline of more than one percent.

The indicators of the remaining subgroups have decreased by less than one percent.

In the declining market, investors of SBL Debenture 2089 and Gorkha Finance have earned the most. The value of these companies has increased by more than 9.96 percent.

However, Ruru Hydropower witnessed a negative circuit whereas the share prices of Pokhara Finance, CYC Nepal Microfinance, and Dolti Power Company have decreased by 5.60 percent to 6.74 percent.
