Govt recommends Anjan Shakya as National Assembly member



KATHMANDU: The government has recommended Dr. Anjan Shakya for the position of National Assembly (NA) member.

During the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Friday, it was decided to propose Shakya for the NA membership.

Shakya, who previously served as the Nepali Ambassador to Israel, has been nominated for the position by the ruling CPN-UML.
