NEPSE records a single-digit increase on Tuesday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index surged by 9.19 points to reach 2036.01 on Tuesday, the second trading day of the week.

A total of 9,789,416 shares worth 4.14 billion rupees were traded today, marking a slight decline in the trading amount compared to Sunday.

The first day’s trading volume stood at 4.25 billion rupees.

Except for hotels, tourism, and microfinance sub-indices, all sectors witnessed an improvement in the NEPSE index.

The finance sub-index saw the highest increase at 2.79 percent.

Investors benefited from the rise in share prices of 150 companies today.

While the share prices of 86 companies decreased, there was no change in the share prices of 9 companies.
