CM Sharma of Karnali Province to seek vote of confidence

KATHMANDU: Chief Minister (CM) Raj Kumar Sharma of Karnali Province has announced plans to seek a vote of confidence.

CM Sharma’s decision comes in the wake of the Nepali Congress withdrawing its support from the provincial government, following the formation of a new ruling alliance between CPN (Maoist Center) and CPN-UML.

Sources indicate that Sharma is making preparations to present the motion for a vote of confidence either this Friday or Sunday.

With the emergence of a new coalition, the CPN-UML is positioning itself to take the helm of the Karnali Province government.

However, certain leaders within the Maoist Center are also vying for control of the provincial government.

In light of these developments, CM Sharma is gearing up to face the floor and secure the confidence of the provincial assembly.
