GT Captain Shubman Gill penalized INR 12 lakhs for slow over rate in TATA IPL



KATHMANDU: Shubman Gill, the captain of Gujarat Titans, faced repercussions as his team was found guilty of maintaining a slow over rate during their TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 encounter against Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

In accordance with the IPL’s Code of Conduct regarding minimum over rate offenses, Gill incurred a fine of Rs 12 lakhs due to his team’s first offense of the season.

Despite their spirited efforts, GT suffered a 63-run defeat against CSK in the match held on Tuesday, adding to their disappointment.
