Parliamentary Committee summons Home Secretary, IGP, and former CIB Chief for discussion



KATHMANDU: The State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the House of Representatives has summoned Home Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Basanta Kunwar, and former Chief of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) AIG Shyam Gyawali for discussion.

According to the Chairman of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, Ramhari Khatiwada, they have been called for discussion during Wednesday’s meeting.

The committee meeting is being convened against the backdrop of ongoing investigations into the alleged involvement in the Surya Darshan Cooperative scam.

The Nepali Congress has accused Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane of being involved in this fraud as well.
