CPN-UML secretariat meeting today, selection of by-election candidates likely

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML is set to hold a secretariat meeting today at 11 am to discuss crucial matters, including the selection of candidates for the upcoming by-elections in Illam and Bhajang.

According to Rajendra Gautam, the chief of the party’s publicity department, the meeting will focus on outlining the party’s strategy and preparations for the imminent by-elections.

A total of six potential candidates have been recommended for Illam-2, while three names have been put forward for Bhajang-1 by the party.

These recommendations will be thoroughly discussed during the meeting, with the party expected to finalize its candidates for the respective constituencies.
