PM Dahal urges vigilance against fire incidents

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has expressed condolences for the significant loss of life and property caused by recent fires in Nepal’s eastern region.

In response to the devastating property damage witnessed in Morang, Bhojpur, and other districts due to fires on Saturday, the Prime Minister took to his social media account last night to urge citizens to remain vigilant against fire incidents, including forest fires.

“The loss of property due to fires in the hilly districts of eastern Nepal, including Bhojpur, is deeply saddening. Expressing profound sorrow over these incidents, I urge the public to take precautionary measures against the potential risks of fire,” he stated in his message.

Tragically, three children from the same family lost their lives in a fire incident in Hatuwagadi Rural Municipality-7 of Bhojpur on Saturday. Additionally, there have been reports of fires and forest fires in Udayapur, Kathmandu, Mahottari, Surkhet, Tehrathum, Saptari, Taplejung, and other districts over the past two days.
