Budhasubba Gold Cup: NRT and ANFA Morang clash for title today



BIRATNAGAR: In the ongoing 24th edition of the international invitational Budhasubba Gold Cup football tournament in Dharan, the NRT Kathmandu will compete against ANFA Morang today for the championship title.

The final match, set to take place at the Dharan Stadium, will see both teams vying to claim the title.

The NRT team suffered a defeat against Kantipur Football Training Center in the semifinals.

Losing 5-4 in penalties, NRT secured their spot in the final against Morang.

ANFA Morang emerged victorious against Dharan Football Club, the hosts, in the semifinals.

Morang won 5-4 in penalties, securing their place in the final showdown.

The winning team of the competition will receive a trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 1 million.

Additionally, the runner-up team will be awarded Rs 500,000.

Furthermore, cash prizes of Rs 25,000 will be presented to the best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, striker, and coach. The highest goal scorer will receive a prize of Rs 35,000.

The competition, which commenced on March 9, featured the participation of various clubs including Church Boys United, Nepal Police Club, Dharan Football Club, NRT Kathmandu, Tribhuvan Army Club, Kantipur Football Training Center, Morang District Football Association, and Indian Club UK FC.
