KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is taking place today, with a focus on legislative matters concerning political parties.
The session, scheduled for 11 am at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor, aims to address crucial issues concerning governance and party regulations.
The Secretariat of the Federal Parliament stated that Bill 2080, aimed at amending laws related to the prevention of money laundering and the promotion of a conducive business environment, will be introduced during the meeting.
This bill, originating in the House of Representatives, carries significant implications for financial integrity and economic development.
Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane is expected to table a proposal advocating for the consideration of the ‘Political Party (Second Amendment) Bill 2080.’
This proposed amendment holds importance in shaping the legal framework surrounding political entities in the country.
Additionally, discussions are set to continue on the principles and priorities outlined in the Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year 2081-82, as outlined in the agenda.
