Six die in Udaypur jeep accident



KATHMANDU: At least six passengers died and seven others sustained injuries in a Bolero jeep accident in Udaypur.

The jeep, en route from Dharan to Bhojpur’s Ghoretar, met its fate at Belka Municipality-7 in Udaypur around 11 am on Thursday, according to Police Inspector Roshan Thapa from the District Police Office Upaypur.

The specific details regarding the involved jeep remain undisclosed, but reports indicate it veered off the road, leading to a fatal crash.

The injured passengers have recounted that there were a total of 15 passengers on board, according to the police.

Efforts are underway to rescue the seven injured individuals.

The accident site lies close to the border of Bhojpur.

Police from Bhojpur police stations have responded, bolstered by local support.

As investigations continue, the identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.

Emergency services have been mobilized, with an ambulance on-site, while comprehensive details regarding the incident are pending further updates.
