Hong Kong sets modest target of 122 runs for PNG in Tri-Nations T20 semi-finals



KATHMANDU: Hong Kong, China has set a modest target of 122 runs for Papua New Guinea (PNG) in the semi-finals of the Tri-Nations T20 International Series being held in Hong Kong.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Hong Kong managed to score 121 runs before losing all their wickets in 18.3 overs against a determined PNG bowling attack.

Z Ali was the top scorer for Hong Kong, contributing 55 runs to the team’s total.

On the other hand, PNG’s Kabua Morea, Alei Nao, Assad Vala, and Sese Bau each claimed two wickets for their team.

The winner of this crucial encounter will advance to face Nepal in the finals of the series.

Earlier today, Nepal secured their spot in the finals by defeating PNG by 85 runs in another thrilling match.
