KATHMANDU: President of Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba, has called for a gathering of the party’s office bearers.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at 3 pm today at Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha.
Both current and former office bearers have been summoned to attend.
The primary agenda of the meeting is to deliberate on the party’s strategy to effectively function as the principal opposition party in the parliament.
Following the dissolution of its alliance with key coalition member CPN (Maoist Center), which has formed a new government in collaboration with CPN-UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), CPN (US), and Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), Nepali Congress now holds the status of the main opposition party in parliament.
