KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has announced its decision to participate in the National Assembly Chair election.

In a meeting of party officials held earlier this morning at Budanilkantha, the decision was made.

The party has further resolved to solicit support from other opposition parties for the election.

However, the candidate for the post is yet to be finalized by the party.

The position of the NA Chair is presently vacant following the completion of outgoing Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timalsina’s six-year tenure.
