Maoist Center convenes parliamentary party meeting today

KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Center) is scheduled to convene its parliamentary party meeting today.

The meeting is slated to take place at 3 PM this afternoon at Singha Durbar, as stated by Heet Raj Pandey, the chief whip of the party.

Agenda items include discussions on recent political developments and the party’s role in parliament following the formation of a new government.

Additionally, the meeting will address seeking a vote of confidence.

In the wake of the formation of a new coalition comprising the Maoist Center, CPN-UML, RSP, JSP, and CPN (US), the Nepali Congress has withdrawn its support from the government.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is preparing to seek a vote of confidence at the earliest opportunity.
