New power equation fosters hope and political stability: UML Secretariat

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has embraced the recent shifts in the power equation within the country, viewing them positively.

Today’s UML secretariat meeting concluded that these changes would contribute significantly to maintaining political stability and nurturing optimism among the populace.

Addressing the media after the meeting, Party General-Secretary Shankar Pokhrel stated, “We are confident that the UML will play a constructive role in ensuring political stability and fostering the country’s development.”

The meeting resolved to extend support to the government in every possible way, aiming to transform public despondency into hope.

Pokhrel mentioned that the process of forming a new coalition government, involving UML, CPN-Maoist Center, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Janata Samajbadi Party, and CPN (Unified Socialist), has commenced. He urged other parties to support this emerging ruling coalition.

Highlighting the collaboration’s potential benefits for the nation’s sovereignty, independence, development, and prosperity, the UML General-Secretary emphasized, “The meeting believes that this collaboration will be fruitful.”

In addition to these developments, the meeting decided to organize a special function on Baishakh 10 in the lunar calendar to commemorate the party’s 75th Establishment Day and a General Convention Representative Council meeting on Baishakh 8 and 9.
